"Accounting Is The Language Of Business."

- Warren Buffet

Welcome, I'm Lindsay!

My Mission = Your Value

I created Simplify Accounting is to give Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners like You the clarity to

Understand The Language of Business,

To add Financial Literacy (a fundamental business skill) to their Player Skillset so they can level up and Play the Game of Business to Win.

Financial Literacy = Knowing HOW Money Moves

I’m a value-obsessed CFO who’s spent the last 8 years decoding how we create and exchange value in this game, and here's the hard Truth:

Profits Start and End with Controlling the Financial Statements,

But unfortunately, too many small business owners don’t even know this rule exists.

If a business owner is making important financial decisions without ever referencing their Profit and Loss or Balance Sheet.. they're making their best Guess on How to Solve Problems or Create Opportunities, that ultimately affect Profits.

When instead, they could learn the rules of money, only once, and Know how to properly use their 'Controller' forever. 🎮🧠

Just imagine looking at your financial statements and no longer seeing just numbers on a page, but precise financial feedback that’s always guiding you toward your next right money move.

With only 3 video lessons and 1 purpose packed bonus level: You’ll learn how to finally and forever Understand (and therefore Control) your Financial statements like the pro's.

Level Up you're 'Financial Strategy Playing Field' and start playing among the likes of Fortune 500 company CEOs!

My Story

To emphasize just how much I love accounting, here’s a true story: After taking my first college accounting class, I walked straight to the office and officially switched my major from marketing to accounting.

Rewinding a bit, I started working as a teller at a local bank when I was 17, where I fell in love with the reliability and consistency of numbers.

My last banking job had me managing the accounting department (the back office) at a bank. I quickly realized that accounting for banks is, well, different from most business models and decided to leave banking for good. That kind of accounting just wasn’t for me, there’s not much fun to be had with that type of business model.

In 2018, I landed my first “real” accounting job, (not "bank" accounting) where I had the opportunity to become an integral part of major business decisions.

This was where I saw the magic in action, every financial transaction had a small but meaningful story behind it. During that time, I worked closely with an experienced consulting firm to implement best practices across the core functional areas of every business—Sales, Operations, and Finance.

What stood out to me right away was how everything the consultants did started and ended with the financial statements—with financial data, with accounting, and ultimately, with the accounting equation.

It was here where I discovered the powerful link between the accounting equation and value exchanges.. and I can’t wait for you to see it too!
